Asking AI for help without copying answers
How to prompt a tutor so you learn the method instead of collecting answers.
The guide
Say what you already understand. "I know the formula but I get the unit wrong" produces a much better explanation than "help".
Ask for the next step, not the whole answer. Then attempt it yourself before asking for the step after.
Ask it to ask you questions. The tutor has a Socratic mode that does this on purpose.
Check anything important against your textbook or teacher. AI can be confident and wrong, and the app labels every answer as AI-generated for that reason.
If an explanation does not land, say which word confused you. It is usually one word.
